| With convenient access to GA 400, Cumming is a fast-growing city roughly 25 miles north of downtown Atlanta. Cumming is the county seat of Forsyth County, which has many of its communities on or very close to Lake Lanier. The lake is North Georgia’s largest lake and draws visitors from the region with its varied attractions, which include Lake Lanier Islands, which is the major resort area on the lake. The Islands complex provides a multitude of activities from to camping and beach areas to tennis and golf, and a water park.
The Cumming area has a varied real estate market, ranging from starter homes to executive homes and vacation homes on Lake Lanier. The growth has been fueled by the metro Atlanta area’s continued growth to outlying areas and is supported by many national retail stores.
